Using format-factory.com (the "site") means you accept the terms and the disclaimer laid out below. If any of it does not sit right with you, the simplest answer is not to use the site.

What you are looking at

format-factory.com is an independent site. Its whole job is to help you download Format Factory and understand how to use it. We do not publish a custom build, wrap the software in our own installer, or tack anything on - the download is the genuine application.

We are not the official Format Factory website and have no official tie to Free Time, the developer of Format Factory, or to any other company whose products are mentioned. Some features - such as DVD backup and downloading online videos - should only be used with content you own or are legally permitted to copy. Copy protection, platform terms and local law may restrict certain operations, and respecting them is your responsibility.

Where our liability ends

So far as the law allows, neither format-factory.com nor the people behind it are liable for any loss or damage - direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, including lost data, a misbehaving system or downtime - that arises from using this site, the software, or anything we link to.

Outbound links and downloads

We point to third-party sites, such as the official Format Factory website, that are outside our control. Their content, policies and uptime are their own affair, not ours. The moment you leave format-factory.com, that destination's terms and privacy policy take over.
